The Bottle Shop
A shop not just for drinks and convenience items but a gas station with highly competitive prices. Less than a minute from Chamberlain’s main junction in the middle of the town you may not only fill up on highly competitive priced gas but you also may stock up on drinks and other convenience items. You will find friendly and helpful staff working at the bottleshop eager to make your Chamberlain experience pleasant and give you any advice you may need to get around the area.
An air compressor to pump up your tires is available at the Bottle Shop – but you will need your own gauge to check the pressure.

Food Store
Not quite Walmart but a very comprehensive choice of groceries and competitive prices await you just 4 blocks up the hill from Chamberlain’s main junction. There is plenty of car parking available at the Food Center.
Electronics Store
RadioShack
Depending on what you need there are three outlets to get some electronics goods, gadgets and tools. The main outlet is RadioShack on Main Street North opposite Vista Business Services, the building with the Teepee on the roof. It can be a bit confusing trying to find the entrance to RadioShack. The shop is actually inside “Variety” a shop specialising in household goods. Inside RadioShack is on the right hand side. RadioShack does carry a range of special offers all the time and it is worthwhile just to have a bit of a snoop around for that special gadget you never knew you needed.
DIY/Hardware Stores
True Value
If you are looking for a hardware store with a good selection, outstanding service and expertise with staff more than willing to share with you in your DIY project True Value should be your first choice. It is just off the first Interstate Junction on your way into Chamberlain from the East. There is plenty of parking available at the store.
From Downtown Chamberlain just head up the hill towards the Interstate as two lanes merge into one you should get ready to turn right. True Value is located at the corner.
Household Goods
Variety Plus
There are a lot of small shops on Main Street who carry household goods including DIY or hardware stores. The shop carrying the widest range of everyday household goods is “Variety” – please refer to the picture above for RadioShack which is housed on the same premises.
You may find a useful collection of household goods at “True Value” about a mile up the hill from the main junction in Downtown Chamberlain.
Leisure Activities
Drive along North Main Street until you see a bridge crossing the Marina. There is the Barger Park with a description to walk through to the Free Roam Park past the American Creek. There are plenty of park benches in the Barger Park with fantastic views over the Missouri in addition to ample street car parking facilities.
Below some winter impressions of the Barger Park:
Old Style Downtown Cinema – The State Theatre
To enjoy the taste of a past era there is a golden opportunity to visit Chamberlain’s Cinema. It has an “Old Town Charm” at old town prices.
If you are visiting it is an experience which will stay in your memory with pleasant reflections as you think back about the small town on the banks of the Missouri.
There may only be one film showing several times a day but regardless of the film currently shown, the atmosphere by itself will make the visit outstanding. So take some time out and plan your visit at Chamberlain’s only cinema.
